Good times with the Cousins!

We always have fun with our cousins! Unfortunately the Kevin/Sarah Funk Cousins live so far away. So when we do get to visit with each other, we LOVE spending as much time as we can together! We went down to the Children's Museum at the Gateway! It was a blast! As you can see Jonah, was wiped out watching all his cousins play! :D

Then....
We all got together at Darren and Roshonnah's house for June Birthdays- Jonathon, Brent, and Mckenzie. The Funk yard is a mecca of FUN! Trampoline, Volleyball, Swing Set! + inside is the Wii - !! Not to mention the cullinary dutch oven skills of my brother! WOW! We ate really well- and then let the children run wild! We had so much fun!

This is Hayden, and his "Stayin' Alive" move! It is sooooo hillarious. You just say "hayden-.... Stayin' Alive!" and his little arm goes up with his pointer finger up in the air! ADORABLE!!!

Here is the most of the family ( Brent, Mel, and Hayden - were in Cali - for a wedding - and we missed them! :D) on the 24th of July for a BBQ - and the infamous WaterBalloon Volley!

Happy Birthday!

Since this year was the twins 5th birthday - we decided since Mckenzie had a big party on her 5th birthday, we would do a big party for the twins. Of course since Kenzie's birthday was just a couple week before, she got to invite a couple friends of hers too. Our awesome friend and neighbor, Josie , has for "rent" a big Bouncy Castle, AND a cotton candy maker - and not only did she give a ridiculous discount, she came and made cotton candy in the HOT HOT sun for all the kiddies! It was a blast! The bouncy house was sooooo hot - we kept hosing it down with water, which soon became the wet and wild bouncy house! Then of course we did face painting, and a GINORMOUS pinata - that one of my good friends had made for the twins! That thing was bigger than Isaac and Olivia!

After the friend party, we had the Millet family over for a BBQ! That was so fun! We don't get to see them as often as my family :( So it was so great to have them over! Then the Funk family came over for presents and cake/ice cream! Thanks to all who could come and all the gifts they adorned my kids with! We had so much fun!!!

Park City! A little city in it's own world!

This year we went really far for a vacation, up to PC! It was really enjoyable. I know most people would think, "hey, how can that be a vacation, when you are only 30 min away from your house?" But I tell you what! It is it's own little planet up there! We had such a nice relaxing, beautiful week , even though it rained every day, (but not ALL day)!
We drove to Fish Lake one day, Aaron, Brent, Darren and myself went golfing one day at Soldier Hollow, we swam EVERY day at the indoor pool!, we did the Alpine slide and Alpine Coaster which I Highly reccomend to anyone who hasn't done it. The slide not so much fun after you do the coaster! We walked up to main street a couple times! (actually my family tried to kill me by walking up there :D) And the best of all, Kevin and Sarah and family came from CT, the last few days and are staying for a visit for a few week! AWESOME!!

These can't be MY twins !

So, really is it all possible that I am getting old? You're right! It isn't possible, but then how do I explain that my twins, who are so young, sweet and innocent (yeah right!)children of mine , how can they be old enough to graduate PRESCHOOL and are going to start Full day kindergarten on July 27th, 2009? Aye yi yi!!

They had an adorable little ceremony with graduation caps and a little light refreshment afterwards.

I wanted to do something nice for their teacher Miss Sharon, so I purchased a Visa Gift Card from Walmart, thinking that she could spend the money wherever she wanted. I should have just gone with CASH, because after I spent money and put it on the card, I get a call from her a few weeks later, just as an FYI that she couldn't use the card because it needed to be activated! ??? what? really? the store didn't take care of that while I was there? and apparenetly they needed the receipt to activate it? That receipt was LONG GONE!! HOW absurd is that? I am just out the money now, that was intended for gratitude purposes! NICE!

Enjoy the pics!

How long since my last post? Yaowzers!

It has been QUITE some time since I have posted. I do have an explanation, but it is so long, and drawn out, let's just chalk it up to the economic crisis and internet service :D! So I have quite the task of getting everyone up to speed! It honestly has been so long, I am sure I have missed out on some awesome posting opportunities, but I am just going to have to go on what my camera from the last point I remember!

Here it is! Mckenzie and her "play"! We got Mckenzie involved in "UP WITH KIDS" which is run through all the rec centers around the valley. It is ingenius! All the rec centers do the same play throuout the valley, that way all the same costumes, and props are just transported to each place. what a great idea! Anyway... Mckenzie was thrilled when she heard about this last year and decided that we would see what it was about!. The play this year was called ENCHANTED featuring Alvin and the Chipmunks! It was very cute. Mckenzie was Mike Wazaowski from Monsters Inc and in another couple parts as a Rat and then a Bride in the end. We are both excited to get her involved in this next year!

Eggs, eggs, and more eggs!

So I think I went a tad overboard on the eggs this year! You may or may not have read on Facebook about my stellar egg boiling skills.... :)
Let me back up. My mother usually goes to visit my brother Kevin and his beautiful family around this time of year in Connecticut. But most of the time it is before Easter, or right after Easter. We have always, always gone to her house to decorate eggs with all the cousins. She even boils all the eggs for each family and lets us take them all home too. I KNOW!! My mother! Aye yi yi!! She is incredible!! IT IS TRUE! This year she went over Easter and I thought what a great thing for us to do our own eggs at our house. SO, went to Walmart, and found the box that says 5 dozen eggs! Oh wow. . . I think I will get that! I hope this is enough! (says me!) Then down the aisle to the egg dye! OH MY GOODNESS!!! Look at all the pretty colors (says me again!) Oh let's buy this sports one for Isaac, and Olivia... she will love the GLITTER EGGS!... Kenzie I think will enjoy the all - in - one decorating!! So YUP I walked out of the store, 5 dozen eggs and 3 packages of dye in hand. (of course after paying for them... I am crazy - not criminal!) Get home and start the big ol pan full of water and stock it full of eggs! Then - - Dum dum dummmmmmm!! I forget about them!! Isaac comes running into the bedroom and says MOM! THE EGGS ARE POPPING! ! ! I said, Oh yeah eggs!! They are boiling!! It is okay Isaac! SO slowly, I get up off my "duff" and walk to the kitchen to hear actual POPPING!!! Let's just say, All the water had evaporated, and the eggs were actually burning. Literally black and brown burn marks on the shells!!! My pan... RUINED!!! YIKES!!! Seriously, I need some lessons on either boiling eggs, or even just water, or a lesson on, just leave well enough alone and let my mom do the domestic loving to my children! :)
Oh did I mention the part about all the different egg dye I purchased? Yup, DISASTER! The glitter eggs -- bad idea! Open up the box and what fall out all over the floor, me, table, but a TON of glitter!!! I am still finding it everywhere! DON"T GET GLITTER!!!

Trying to get all the children in one pose,
smiling at the camera,
by my favorite tree on a beautiful day???? PRICELESS!!!!

As you can tell from this picture,
Olivia is in her prime form by being very
obstinate and grumpy because she wasn't the
first to get her picture taken!!!
Whew she is a handful at times! Don't let that adorable face fool you!!!!

Isaac being has charming and handsome as he possibly can be,
knowing that he can come home from church and eat MORE CANDY!!!

Kenzie - Always the happy child! (when she gets her way and gets to be first with the pictures!) She LOVES her Easter dress, as do I! It was a miracle that we made a choice we both agreed on. If she had it her way, she would have had the puffy pink sleeveless prom dress she swears is an Easter dress!!!

You can't hide forever SPRING!!!!

Just a glimpse of spring was all we got so far! Look my yellow tulips are even blooming!!! Gosh darn you -- Utah weather!! I am still hopeful that it will stay!
Happy Easter to us all!!!

Pediatrician say what?

My poor little ley ley! She is such a trooper! She has had this rash under her arms and stomach now for a few months. First we took her to urgent care and they said it is a viral thing and not to worry about it. Then we get home from our trip and she is COVERED in this Rash all over her poor little body! SO I take her to the doctors office on Monday morning, and our pediatrician says that the rash under her arms and on her stomach IS a viral rash called Molluscum Contagiousum! (HUH?) and he is "thinking" not sure, but thinking that the rash all over her body that are these itchy red bumps that resemble chicken pox, but aren't must be her body rebelling against the virus!! ?? WHAT? He ended up giving us some antibiotics just incase the under arm wart thingys are infected, and that has seemed to help a bit, but she still is covered in this horrible rash! Has this dampened her spirits? Not in the least!! In fact, I think she has become more arrogant ! Little terd! :)
