So I think I went a tad overboard on the eggs this year! You may or may not have read on Facebook about my stellar egg boiling skills.... :)
Let me back up. My mother usually goes to visit my brother Kevin and his beautiful family around this time of year in Connecticut. But most of the time it is before Easter, or right after Easter. We have always, always gone to her house to decorate eggs with all the cousins. She even boils all the eggs for each family and lets us take them all home too. I KNOW!! My mother! Aye yi yi!! She is incredible!! IT IS TRUE! This year she went over Easter and I thought what a great thing for us to do our own eggs at our house. SO, went to Walmart, and found the box that says 5 dozen eggs! Oh wow. . . I think I will get that! I hope this is enough! (says me!) Then down the aisle to the egg dye! OH MY GOODNESS!!! Look at all the pretty colors (says me again!) Oh let's buy this sports one for Isaac, and Olivia... she will love the GLITTER EGGS!... Kenzie I think will enjoy the all - in - one decorating!! So YUP I walked out of the store, 5 dozen eggs and 3 packages of dye in hand. (of course after paying for them... I am crazy - not criminal!) Get home and start the big ol pan full of water and stock it full of eggs! Then - - Dum dum dummmmmmm!! I forget about them!! Isaac comes running into the bedroom and says MOM! THE EGGS ARE POPPING! ! ! I said, Oh yeah eggs!! They are boiling!! It is okay Isaac! SO slowly, I get up off my "duff" and walk to the kitchen to hear actual POPPING!!! Let's just say, All the water had evaporated, and the eggs were actually burning. Literally black and brown burn marks on the shells!!! My pan... RUINED!!! YIKES!!! Seriously, I need some lessons on either boiling eggs, or even just water, or a lesson on, just leave well enough alone and let my mom do the domestic loving to my children! :)
Oh did I mention the part about all the different egg dye I purchased? Yup, DISASTER! The glitter eggs -- bad idea! Open up the box and what fall out all over the floor, me, table, but a TON of glitter!!! I am still finding it everywhere! DON"T GET GLITTER!!!
Trying to get all the children in one pose,
smiling at the camera,
by my favorite tree on a beautiful day???? PRICELESS!!!!
As you can tell from this picture,
Olivia is in her prime form by being very
obstinate and grumpy because she wasn't the
first to get her picture taken!!!
Whew she is a handful at times! Don't let that adorable face fool you!!!!
Isaac being has charming and handsome as he possibly can be,
knowing that he can come home from church and eat MORE CANDY!!!
Kenzie - Always the happy child! (when she gets her way and gets to be first with the pictures!) She LOVES her Easter dress, as do I! It was a miracle that we made a choice we both agreed on. If she had it her way, she would have had the puffy pink sleeveless prom dress she swears is an Easter dress!!!

I'm glad to hear I wasn't the only one who had egg coloring issues! :) Next year I'm staying with plain old "Pawws" brand!
Teresa, you are hilarious...I love it. I've never forgotten eggs in a pan, but I have forgotten cookies (I hate making cookies, you have to keep coming back and remembering them)...I think that is how hockey pucks came to be. You make me laugh. Glad you had a good Easter, love the pics of the kids, they are adorable.
Ummmm...We should of done eggs togehter with 5 dozen I would not of had to buy any. I missed doing eggs together this year. Sad.
That is tooo funny! One time I undercooked my eggs so I thought ta da instead of reboil microwave what are they for anyway?? bad Idea! Branson went to eat one and the egg yoke exploded in his mouth!! He had a few burns!! I felt like a GREAT mom!!
