One Halloween Party down and one to go!!!

Our Primary did a Halloween Party for all the kids in the ward. Since I am in the Primary Presidency, Let me just say, it was a long day for "T". We had to be there at 930 am to set up everything. We had a couple tables for decorating pumpkins, tables for decorating cupcakes, tables for decorating picutre frames, (we made them out of paper.:) and a spot for taking pictures of the kids in their costumes as you can see my kids. Isn't that backdrop to die for? Our secretary of the primary, Shandra, made that. It doesn't do it justice in the picture. It was amazing. She is amazing! Anyway. We also had a Cotton Candy Machine that was the HIT of the party. Tara another of the presidency, who is pregnant and had both her boys there tugging at her the whole time, kept up with the crowd. Amazing! Then our President Angela, was working the whole thing with probably 2 hours of sleep or less from the night before. This is why they made her President. She pulled of the party without a hitch. A good time was had by all. And we got home after cleaning up everything just in time to hop in the shower and get dressed to go to a baptism. LONG day indeed! Halloween is just around the corner, and my kids are just chomping at the bit for some more candy. YIKES!

Thanks for reading those that do. It makes it more worth while to post, but honestly I just do it for me. It is almost relaxing and theraputic to do this. Maybe this is my way of keeping a journal. My mom has always been the dedicated one to write everything down that happened and I just never caught that bug. Although I am reticent now I didn't, I believe that this could most likely quite compare to a journal for me. So YEA ME!

Don't you know who I am? I was on TV!!!!

Howdy HO!!!

Look at us. Okay, so it isn't ALL that cool, but seriously folks... I was on TV! So a little background on the scoop. On a lovely fall day in October 23, 39 years ago, there was a beautiful daughter born to the proud and loving couple Susan and Ron Funk! Okay... you get the picture...

So yesterday was my sister Stephanie's birthday and Melanie had this wonderful idea to suprise her with taking her to her most favorite show "GOOD THINGS UTAH" on channel 4.

At first when I heard she tapes and watches this show everyday, I had a small eency weency thought of WHY? But after attending this show for my sister's birthday suprise, it was finally clear to me.

We had such a good time, I want to go back and do it again! The ladies that you see in the picture host the show and all 4 of them are so great. We even got presents from some of the guests they had on the show. A pearl necklace, some pumpkin bread from Kneeders and a gift card to Torrid.

I love it! Thanks steph for having a birthday for one, and for getting me hooked on this program!!

Pumpkins...Pumpkins.... who's got the pumpkins?

I had a couple days off of work so I decided to take the kids out to the pumpkin patch in South Jordan to get some pumpkins. They have a corn maze there for the kids, as well as all these tractors to sit and play on. My kids go out to this pumpkin patch every year with Charie, our friend who babysits the kids while I am at work. So they are more than familiar with the surroundings. It is I who got the lesson on the way things work at the pumpkin patch. I guess that is the price you pay for being a working mom. Your kids get to do all sorts of fun things with the babysitter, :) So I am more than blessed to have Charie in my life!

Goin' to the County Fair!!!

Well Okay, it is the State Fair, but then the Chris LeDoux song doesn't fit.... :)
We took the kids to the state fair today and it was fun. Great weather, about 80 degrees, just perfect. As you can see from the pictures we let them ride the ponies, and then some rides. Then we walked around and saw the animals and rode down the big yellow slide altogether. Olivia was nervous, and she was riding with me. I sat down on the mat first then she climed on back and wrapped her legs and arms around me tight. I couldn't help but start giggling. It was so cute. The guy helping at the slide laughed and said" Nice try kido.... You gotta sit up front between your moms legs!" Boy you would have thought she had seen a ghost. But she did it .. brave girl. She gasped every hill on the way down, but was ready to ride again. Isaac went with Aaron, and was ready to ride again before he was even through with the first one! Mckenzie was the lucky one and got to ride it twice. She is getting so brave in her old age!!!

What a bunch of SHOW OFF'S

I can do it by myself MOM!!!

Bath time, and being independent as usual.

The Twins turn 4 ?

Aaron and I are STUNNED at how fast time has flown. Issac and Olivia have been such a blessing in our lives, but we are amazed how grown up they are already. Little people!!! WOW! We had my family over, since we were going up to Tremonton the next weekend to see everyone and celebrate birthdays, we didn't want to make everyone make another trip especially with the price of gas! It was a quick and fun gathering, and the twins made out like "bandits" with presents.

Baptism Day for Kenzie

Mckenzie was blessed to have her Grandpa Millet baptize and confirm her a member of the church on July 5, 2008. Mckenzie was nervous that Grandpa might drop her in the water, but it all went smoothly. So smoothly that he forgot to say one thing in the blessing, so she was immersed twice! Lucky girl! After Grandpa gave Mckenzie a special, and beautiful confirmation, we had family and friend meet us over at the house for an afternoon BBQ. It was an awesome day that we won't ever forget!

4th of July bash at Aunt Sandy's

Another of the GILLINGS family traditions on the 4th of July is Aunt Sandy's house. We have a BBQ/pot luck out in her HUGE backyard, and every year she sets up some sort of water fun for the kids. At first it started out with wading pools, but as the years progress, and more and more kids are born into the families, she keep purchasing bigger and better water toys. This year she had these HUGE slides and a pool out back. It was great!!

Millcreek 4th of July Parade

Our FUNK family tradition lives on. We went to the "candy parade" on the 4th, and as per usual, the kids went home with a whole bag of candy! I don't even think they saw any of the parade unless it came with Candy flying at their faces. Oh well, I grew up on that, so why take that memory from them. LOL
