Getting out our Aggresions!!!

It was my "BFF's" Birthday this weekend, and the one thing she wanted to do was go SHOOTING!!! So Aaron and Lynn loaded up the guns, ammo kids and wives, and drove out northwest of Grantsville and set up a shooting gallery. Aaron had confiscated some old doors from job sites that were garbage, and a bunch of pumkins, and soda bottles full of water, and set them out for the "KILL". We had so much fun. Of course my 3 kids wanted to just stay in the car and out of the loud gun shots, but Megan and Lynn's two youngest, Oliver and Faith were wanting to join in the fun. We all had a blast. Thanks Lynn and Megan for being the great and loving friends that you are to us! We are so blessed to have freinds like you in our lives, where we can vent when we need to, laugh together when we need to, and live our lives as friends forever!! We love you Dannenbergs!!

And the winner is.... TEAM EDWARD!!!

I finally got to go out and see the Twilight movie. Megan's birthday was on Saturday, and much to the shagrin of Lynn and Aaron, our husbands, they took us to see this. It was nothing I expected and more! I heard so many dissapointing things about the movie, I was sad, but decided to plan on going for entertainmet value and not really worrying about the person they cast for Edward. I was so stunned when I first saw him in the movie. I was so taken back by his presence on screen and they way they made him up. He was actually very great and I think aaron is a little jealous now because I can't stop talking about EDWARD!!!
I am all for TEAM EDWARD now!!

Devils by day.....Angels by night!
This was a random thought I had just as I was checking on my kids before bed. Life sure gets crazy around here sometimes, and I forget how innocent and precious my kids are. Most of the time, I am so excited they are asleep, I forget to reminice about all the beautiful and momentous thoughts, actions, and accomplishments of the day. I need to use this as a reminder to stop and take in all the days by looking at my beautiful children while they are the most peaceful.
Olivia: What can I say about you! How innocent and beautiful is your mind! You have such a wonderful gift of getting those around you to forget about their troubles and focus on how adorable you are. When you are in the mood, you are the most polite child. Ask you a question and you answer .. "Of Course!" and You want to pose the question it is "Excuse Me?" Those beautiful big blue eyes are from Grandpa Funk!
Isaac, I just wonder if it gets exhausting being you!!! We recently purchased a T-shirt for you that states: "Bet you wish I had an OFF BUTTON!" You are one amazing kid! Such a perfect little boy, doing all the "boyish" things like Spiderman, Transformers, and Cars, but bring out the nailpolish and you are right there with the best of them, painting Mom's toes. I am so blessed and thankful you are in my life. You make me miss my Dad, especially with the "DAD" look you get by staring everyone down for the first time!
Mckenzie, You are such a loving, kind-hearted, compassionate, and all together full of life little girl. You have no idea what joy you bring to me and others around you. That laugh, that giggle you have, takes any horrible mood and turns it into the most enjoyable moment. Thank you for being such a great example to your mamma!
Kids, Thank you for all you give to me, day in and day out. I am most certainly blessed that you are mine, forever!!!

Halloween has past again, for another year!
I know I always say "time flies!" but really ... it flies too fast. I can't believe Halloween is done and over already, soon to be Thanksgiving, then Christmas. Halloween was good fun, good times and good sweets! The "trunk-or-treat" at our church was great, and I had my camera, but neglected to take but one picture. This is of Aaron, my adorable, fun loving husband, who doesn't dress up EVER! But I came home from work on Friday and there he stood, grey wig and all ready for the party. "Hon, I decided I was going to be an overweight and old CHER!?
Huh, Great idea says I.LOL
I didn't get pics of my kids even. How sad is that? Oh well, I have the ones from the primary party. They don't look much different, except on halloween, they all had candy stuffed in their mouths. : )
Tonight... I had a wonderful night. I actually have been chatting on Facebook for a couple weeks now and found dear old friends of mine and we got together tonight to have dinner. It brought back such awesome memories of growing up in the Valley View 9th ward, I just wanted to cry! I love Shauna and Jen so much! Shauna was my Young Women's Advisor and Jen is her beautiful daughter. Yes, Jen and I are not even nearly the same age at all, but we got along like twins. Once I got married we lost touch so I was so blessed and grateful to get them back in my life.
Then when I returned home, I come to find my ever so busy daughter Olivia with a new hair-do. Maybe some of you won't be able to tell from the picture, but believe me, it is going to be pretty hard to hide this one.
Even around the sides and the back are a couple CHUNKS that she has chopped as well!!!
Then come to find my son, using the same pair of sicssors, which I am STILL not sure where they found them, cutting up paper towels in the bedroom. SIGHHH!!!!!
My dear sweet loving Isaac and Olivia, I am sure one day we will all look back and laugh on how "busy" you both are, but for now, let me document this by saying.. AGHHHHHHHGHHHH!!!!!
Disclamer, those that plan on visiting my house or have been here before, You now know the reasoning behind my messy and cluttered house. I don't stand a chance with Thing 1 and Thing 2 about!

One Halloween Party down and one to go!!!

Our Primary did a Halloween Party for all the kids in the ward. Since I am in the Primary Presidency, Let me just say, it was a long day for "T". We had to be there at 930 am to set up everything. We had a couple tables for decorating pumpkins, tables for decorating cupcakes, tables for decorating picutre frames, (we made them out of paper.:) and a spot for taking pictures of the kids in their costumes as you can see my kids. Isn't that backdrop to die for? Our secretary of the primary, Shandra, made that. It doesn't do it justice in the picture. It was amazing. She is amazing! Anyway. We also had a Cotton Candy Machine that was the HIT of the party. Tara another of the presidency, who is pregnant and had both her boys there tugging at her the whole time, kept up with the crowd. Amazing! Then our President Angela, was working the whole thing with probably 2 hours of sleep or less from the night before. This is why they made her President. She pulled of the party without a hitch. A good time was had by all. And we got home after cleaning up everything just in time to hop in the shower and get dressed to go to a baptism. LONG day indeed! Halloween is just around the corner, and my kids are just chomping at the bit for some more candy. YIKES!
Thanks for reading those that do. It makes it more worth while to post, but honestly I just do it for me. It is almost relaxing and theraputic to do this. Maybe this is my way of keeping a journal. My mom has always been the dedicated one to write everything down that happened and I just never caught that bug. Although I am reticent now I didn't, I believe that this could most likely quite compare to a journal for me. So YEA ME!

Don't you know who I am? I was on TV!!!!
Howdy HO!!!
Look at us. Okay, so it isn't ALL that cool, but seriously folks... I was on TV! So a little background on the scoop. On a lovely fall day in October 23, 39 years ago, there was a beautiful daughter born to the proud and loving couple Susan and Ron Funk! Okay... you get the picture...
So yesterday was my sister Stephanie's birthday and Melanie had this wonderful idea to suprise her with taking her to her most favorite show "GOOD THINGS UTAH" on channel 4.
At first when I heard she tapes and watches this show everyday, I had a small eency weency thought of WHY? But after attending this show for my sister's birthday suprise, it was finally clear to me.
We had such a good time, I want to go back and do it again! The ladies that you see in the picture host the show and all 4 of them are so great. We even got presents from some of the guests they had on the show. A pearl necklace, some pumpkin bread from Kneeders and a gift card to Torrid.
I love it! Thanks steph for having a birthday for one, and for getting me hooked on this program!!

Pumpkins...Pumpkins.... who's got the pumpkins?

I had a couple days off of work so I decided to take the kids out to the pumpkin patch in South Jordan to get some pumpkins. They have a corn maze there for the kids, as well as all these tractors to sit and play on. My kids go out to this pumpkin patch every year with Charie, our friend who babysits the kids while I am at work. So they are more than familiar with the surroundings. It is I who got the lesson on the way things work at the pumpkin patch. I guess that is the price you pay for being a working mom. Your kids get to do all sorts of fun things with the babysitter, :) So I am more than blessed to have Charie in my life!

Goin' to the County Fair!!!

Well Okay, it is the State Fair, but then the Chris LeDoux song doesn't fit.... :)
We took the kids to the state fair today and it was fun. Great weather, about 80 degrees, just perfect. As you can see from the pictures we let them ride the ponies, and then some rides. Then we walked around and saw the animals and rode down the big yellow slide altogether. Olivia was nervous, and she was riding with me. I sat down on the mat first then she climed on back and wrapped her legs and arms around me tight. I couldn't help but start giggling. It was so cute. The guy helping at the slide laughed and said" Nice try kido.... You gotta sit up front between your moms legs!" Boy you would have thought she had seen a ghost. But she did it .. brave girl. She gasped every hill on the way down, but was ready to ride again. Isaac went with Aaron, and was ready to ride again before he was even through with the first one! Mckenzie was the lucky one and got to ride it twice. She is getting so brave in her old age!!!
